Iron Fairies. Made in Australia. Many years ago, in a secret garden, a group of children stumbled across three little rusty books no bigger than a matchbox in size. All had solid iron covers and were said to be found whilst the children climbed the old gum tree. They tell a story about a mystical old cottage and garden in the remote outback of Western Australia. It is not just a fairytale but an adventure deep into an underground world of tunnels full of grumpy little old men – the Iron Miners, who make these wonderful fairies. These fairies represent certain special areas in the garden above them.
Can you unlock the secrets and bring happiness to the Iron Miners? Collect the iron fairies and with each fairy you will find an answer that will unlock one of many doors that lead down into the Iron Miner’s labyrinth of tunnels. Follow the story at www.theironfairies.com. Nobody knows yet, so we need to find out exactly why the miners have made these fairies and why they choose to leave the garden, but we do know that there are a few very naughty fairies amongst the bunch!
Once a fairy is made she is wrapped in cloth and is taken to the garden in the cover of darkness where she is placed in her planned position awaiting the sun to rise the next morning.
When you purchase an iron fairy, she comes wrapped in cloth and sealed in a box with a poem describing her personality and style. When you take her home for the first night be sure to place her in a position where she will receive the next morning’s sunlight. Each fairy has been locked away since she left the finishing room deep beneath the garden’s ground, so she has never seen sunlight. It’s imperative that you sprinkle the ‘Iron Fairy Dust’ on your fairy that same night as well, oh, and you must make a wish!
Our opinion …
“This collection is a must for all fairy lovers. These exquisite Iron Fairies make wonderful gifts for adults and children alike. But be careful where you put them as they can get up to a litte mischief sometimes!
